My Third and Fourth Rejections

Hey everyone! I hope that everything is going well on your end. I wanted to write a brief post about more rejections that I have received. I recently submitted one of the short stories that I have yet to post here. This short is my sci-fi story; it does not fit the theme of horror or thriller. But if you are a Star Wars fan, then I think you will appreciate it. This sci-fi story will be posted in November; I already have a different story I will post here in October. I do not want to jump from genre to genre, but since I am new to the writing process, I also want to see where my imagination takes me. The two literary magazines that I submitted my work to this round were Asimov's Science Fiction and Heart of Flesh Literary Journal. They were kind in letting me know that my stories were not selected at this time, but like the past rejection posts, it still hurts a little, especially when you think you have a good concept that people might enjoy. I will continue to work on my writing...also! I will not post a podcast episode for Satyrinoch anytime soon. I submitted that story to The Creepy Podcast, if they choose to read my story, then you will be able to hear it on their podcast. If they reject it, then I will do an audio reading on my podcast O.K. Nerd podcast, like I have done with the past three stories. The reason for this decision is that when I submitted my story to them, part of their submission rules was that if your story had been read in a different podcast, then they would not accept your submission. Once I get an acceptance or a rejection, I will keep you all updated. For now, I will continue to submit stories to different places and see what works!
